TAKEOFF/LANDING
The T-39 left Salina at 17.06 UTC (12.06 noon local time) and returned to Salina at 19.33 UTC

FLIGHT REPORT
The T-39 departed Salina in formation with the DC-8, sampling the DC-8 exhaust during the climb. At altitude the T-39 followed the DC-8 to near Minneapolis, probing the DC-8 exhaust at different separations, before turning back to Salina.
