T-39 SUCCESS flights #14 and #15 (scientist: Bruce Anderson)
sample the 757 exhaust emissions as it burned different fuels in its left and right engine
TAKEOFF/LANDING

landed at Ellsworth AFB at 20.22 UTC (flight #14).
The T-39 left Ellsworth AFB at 21.43 UTC and

FLIGHT REPORT
The T-39 departed Salina and sampled the 757 exhaust during the
ascent as well as on the racetrack flight-pattern, which was set
up between 35000 and 37000 ft over Nebraska.
After refueling at Ellsworth AFB, the T-39 rejoined the 757, still
on the same racetrack pattern over Nebraska. The T-39 continued to
sample the 757 emissions at a range of distances behind the 757 and
including the 757 descent into Salina.
