sample the 757 exhaust emissions as it burned different fuels in its left and right engine

TAKEOFF/LANDING
The T-39 left Salina at 18.05 UTC (13.05 noon local time) and landed at Ellsworth AFB at 20.22 UTC (flight #14).
The T-39 left Ellsworth AFB at 21.43 UTC and returned to Salina at 23.47 UTC (flight #15).

FLIGHT REPORT
The T-39 departed Salina and sampled the 757 exhaust during the ascent as well as on the racetrack flight-pattern, which was set up between 35000 and 37000 ft over Nebraska.
After refueling at Ellsworth AFB, the T-39 rejoined the 757, still on the same racetrack pattern over Nebraska. The T-39 continued to sample the 757 emissions at a range of distances behind the 757 and including the 757 descent into Salina.
