Dear SOLVE Colleagues, It has come to my attention that a number of folks are planning to attend next week's SOLVE Science Team meeting in Lancaster, primarily at the invitation of other SOLVE investigators. As delineated in the acceptance letters, this Science Team meeting is for SOLVE investigators and their teams. Some guests have been invited; however, this is not an open meeting to anyone in the atmospheric chemistry community who has an interest in SOLVE. We do not have unlimited accommodations, and we cannot handle a group that extends far beyond the invitation list. It is important that we know in advance who will be attending the meeting. Therefore, it would be most helpful if you would contact the folks you invited and, if they have an explicit association with SOLVE and they are planning to attend the meeting, ask them to contact Rose Kendall (rose@ember.gsfc.nasa.gov) and provide her with their name, address, phone, fax, e-mail, and URL info. Rose then will generate a registration form and a badge for each of the pre-registered attendees. This will speed the registration process significantly. In addition, pre-registration will insure that those who plan to attend the meeting are included on the distribution list for messages associated with the meeting (e.g., agenda, registration fee, request for copies of vu-graphs). And, finally, if we have an accurate count in advance, we will be sure to have enough chairs and refreshments for everyone attending. In addition, there are a number of people outside of the SOLVE distribution list who have been invited to join the Dryden tour on Wednesday. Please note that this tour has been planned for the SOLVE investigators attending the Science Team meeting. Only those who have contacted Rose Kendall specifically about taking part in the tour will be given access to Hangar 1632. The hangar has a guard, and only those with badges that say '1632' will be allowed access. **No other badges are recognized, including NASA and other Government agencies.** If Rose does not have your name on her list, ***you will not be allowed into the hangar.*** The only exceptions are those folks who have a temporary badge for the PEM-Tropics integration scheduled to begin on Tuesday, 19 January. The deadline for adding non-U.S. citizens to the hangar list has long since passed. The deadline for adding U.S. citizens is **today, 13 January**. After today, no one will be added to the list of tour participants. I would appreciate your passing this message along to anyone you know who considering attending the meeting. Thank you for your cooperation, Kathy Wolfe kwolfe@al.noaa.gov
