International Consortium for Atmospheric Research Transport and transformation: North America to Europe - Cover Image
The Atmospheric Infrared Sounder Satellite image of carbon monoxide in forest fire plumes transported from Alaska to eastern North America.
The ICARTT/INTEX-NA studies found that these plumes had a major influence on the composition of the troposphere not only over eastern
North America but also across the Atlantic and over Europe.
